Hi! My name is Victoria Manashirov and I’m a photo artist. I’m deeply in love with what I do. I wish I could tell you I’ve been doing this all my life and even my first word was “photo”. But the journey to my dream wasn’t that short and simple.
Mom & Dad brought up my sense of beautiful back in my early years in Moscow. But, following the “decent society” guidelines I chose a “proper” profession and became an accountant. It is an important trade, but my hunger for creativity had been looking for a way out for the following 10 years. There finally was a moment when I told myself I couldn’t bury my dreams any longer and signed up for a photography course. And then another one. Day after day I felt more professional in the field where I really belonged. An amazing feeling…
It didn’t go that smooth all the time, of course. After a short while I had to close my first studio and came back to working from home. But at that stage I already told myself there was no way back, therefore I worked hard and opened a second studio, where I work till present day.
I consider photography to be among the most eloquent means of information. You could probably object that video bears a more complete info stream. But think of all the room for imagination that photography gives us. Who really is this person in the picture? What does his/her voice sound like? What is he/she thinking about? Imagination is what I love to play with. My imagination during my work. Or your
imagination after I publish the result.
I love my life. I love my family. I love my friends. I try to show this love through my works. And I am endlessly happy to be able to do what I truly love.
And that, probably, is the main thing you should know about me.
