What I create is not the construction of an image
but the arrival of a living body into a moment being born.
A photograph can be made in a second,
yet true presence appears only when a person comes as themselves,
not as something manufactured.
With Diana, the body stopped being a “task,”
and became a home she wanted to return to
soft, honest, breathing,
entirely her own.
